Terms of Service - The Little Office

1. Service Description

The Little Office ("App") is a free Catholic prayer application that provides access to the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary, including canonical hours. The App is available on iOS and is being prepared for Android distribution through Google Play.

2. App Stores

If you download the App through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you also agree to the applicable platform terms. These Terms govern your use of The Little Office; the store providers remain responsible for store operations, billing infrastructure, and platform policies.

3. User Responsibilities

By using the App, you agree to:

  • Use the App respectfully and in accordance with Catholic teaching and tradition
  • Not modify, distribute, or commercialize the App without permission
  • Not use the App for unlawful, abusive, or disruptive purposes

4. Data Collection

The App collects only limited technical support information when voluntarily provided through support requests. We do not collect prayer content or usage analytics for marketing. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Intellectual Property

The prayers themselves are part of Catholic tradition and public domain sources. However, the App's implementation, design, and digital presentation are protected works owned by Founder's Point.

6. Limitations of Liability

Founder's Point is not responsible for:

  • Spiritual outcomes or personal decisions arising from devotional practice
  • Temporary interruptions due to device, network, or platform issues
  • Any third-party platform policies, outages, or account restrictions

7. Service Changes

We may update features, platform compatibility, or these Terms as needed. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable civil law in the jurisdiction where Founder's Point operates, while respecting the devotional context of the App's content.
